Welcome to "Canadian Difference"
Welcome to “Canadian Difference”, a place for all Canadians to discuss one of the most profound facets of the Canadian experience – the way we have accommodated our differences, the challenges of our geography, and the fact of living next to the United States.
The Canadian Difference project hopes to explore place of mutual accommodation in Canada’s story. Over the coming months we’ll uncover and debate Canada’s successes and failures in dealing with our many differences and the challenges we faced. We’ll also discuss how the pursuit of mutual accommodation could shape a better future for Canada and the world.
You will find links to "Canada - Still the Unknown Country", and to articles in the Globe and Mail by W A Macdonald, one of the champions of this project.
The site is in early development. Much more innovative content is to come, including podcasts, discussion forums, information on public events, and links to articles in media outlets across the country.
